How Maison Décodée compares cameras, doorbells and Wi-Fi gear: sources, criteria, checked prices and updates.
Maison Décodée does not publish lab tests and does not claim to. Every comparison relies on verifiable sources, listed at the bottom of each article.
Sources
- The manufacturers’ official spec sheets, on their websites or official shops.
- The subscription terms published by each brand (price, history, number of devices covered).
- Prices checked on a specific date, shown next to each price.
When an official spec sheet leaves something out, the table says “Not specified” rather than guessing.
Criteria
For security cameras, the grid has four criteria: day and night image, connection and power, real cost (price and subscription over three years) and the app with its ecosystem. Each section adapts this grid to its products.
Updates
Each article shows its update date. A discontinued or long out-of-stock model leaves the ranking, and prices are checked again at every revision.
